Tips for caring for your new puppy

Dicipline:"Who's the Boss "? Even though those little brown eyes can melt your heart .   We love them , and want them to be good loving companions. Training the puppy early in life will make you and the puppy happier. Be consistant in training , praise him when the puppy obeys. Once the puppy knows what you want , they try to please you .Stay to the course don't change methods of training , you'll confuse the puppy. Let the puppy know what is expected , and if he is naughty , or has bad behaviors ,say "NO" in a loud voice or slap your hands together , let the puppy know it's bad behavior.

Potty Training: Again be consistent , use the same methods, don't change! Remember puppies can't wait to long, but don't always let you know when they have to go , they too ,learn by their mistakes ."It helps if you can actually catch the puppy in the act of going potty where he or she shouldn't , then pick the puppy up and place him where you desire the puppy to potty. Like outside in the back yard , or on a puppy pad. Again take the puppy to potty often , about every 2-3 hours at first until you both get the hang of where, what,   when and how come. Puppies smell where they have gone before so be sure to get rid of the odor , or it will happen again.

They are under allot of stress when changes occur. Remember the puppy is young, left Mom , brothers, sisters , their loving care taker and flew  in a air plane many miles to get to you . Now the puppy  is trying to adjust to a new home, behavior changes , weather temperatures , other pets , and a new family. Remember to keep your puppy away from drafts and warm, they can't be chilled , this can cause daeth as well. Puppies need temeratures about 75 degrees.   Nutri Cal is another good product, Dye is also a supplement to have on hands in case you need it for your special new "Best Companion".Once the puppy gets use to the new home and surrounding changes ,go back to just the dry feed, what the puppy was use to. If you continue the good stuff to long , they like it and may not want to change. But keep close eye and do what is needed. Call  for help me or your Veterinarian if you feel uneasy , be safe not sorry.
